Word Up – Carter’s Vocabulary Lesson, Volume 1

How about one of those detours I promised. Today’s post is brought to you by Carter. He wants to share with you his new vocabulary.

“Again” – noun. Any fun activity which must be repeated over and over and over. Such as the slides at PaPa’s Pumpkin Patch

“Broken” – adjective. Describes any item I have touched that can be disassembled or altered in any way.

“OOOOOOHHH!” – exclamation, noun. Anything edible that is on the kitchen table.

“Uh-oh!” – exclamation. You don’t want to know.

“Cookie” – noun. Any pastry product. See also donuts, cake, Chips Ahoy!, Oreos.

“Moo” – noun. A four legged farm animal, e.g. pig or goat.

“Toot toot” – noun. The sound thunder makes.

“Chicken” – noun. Chicken.

“Daddy” – noun. Mommy.

“Mommy” – noun. Daddy.

“Mine” – verb. You heard me. Give it to me now.

Also, a word of caution. When you put me down for my nap without putting any pants on me, I will find a way to remove my diaper, particularly if said diaper is messy.

I love that thunder says, “Toot toot!” Ha! And I think it’s great when everything on all fours is a “moo.”

  2. Marcie says:

That must be where Josh learned to “unassemble” his diaper during nap time. Go figure–pants are still on (but soaked) and diaper is nearly off. THANK YOU CARTER!!!!!

  3. Donna says:

Too cute. Just saw this now but it is priceless. We get the word remote alot with the phrase Mickey Mouse shortly after said remote is placed in our hands!
